Bayer appointed to NCAA D-II Management Council

Kristy Bayer will represent the GLVC on the D-II Management Council
Rockhurst University Director of Athletics Kristy Bayer has been appointed to the NCAA Division II Management Council by the Division II Governance Staff.

Bayer will represent the Great Lake Valley Conference with this appointment. It will be for a four-year term starting in January and will run through January 2028. She will begin her term, with an introduction to the Management Council and meet her peers at the 2024 NCAA Convention in Phoenix, Arizona in January.

"I am excited to represent the NCAA D-II membership and the Great Lakes Valley Conference. This is an honor and responsibility, and I am looking forward to getting to work," Bayer said.

The Management Council reports directly to the Presidents Council and is charged with recommending administrative policy and regulations that govern the division. The Management Council reviews and acts on recommendations from the Division II committee structure and from Division II representatives to committees with Association-wide functions.

There are 28 members on the council, including one administrator or representative from each of the Division II conferences, two from the Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and two at-large positions.

Additionally, the Presidents Council approved the election of Roberta Page, director of athletics at Slippery Rock, as chair of the Division II Management Council, and Erin Lind, commissioner of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, as vice chair of the Management Council. Both elections are effective following the conclusion of the 2024 NCAA Convention.
