Women's Soccer prepares to face UMSL, Maryville

The schedule is a challenging one this weekend for the Rockhurst women's soccer team. The Hawks host Missouri-St. Louis at 5:00 p.m. Friday and travel to Maryville for a 12:00 p.m. game on Sunday. 
 
Rockhurst remains undefeated in GLVC play at 4-0 after posting a 2-0 victory at Drury last Sunday. The Hawks have scored eight goals in their last three games. 

UMSL (4-4-1, 2-2-1 GLVC) is coming off a 1-1 tie at Truman State on Sunday. The Tritons have outscored their opponents 12-10 this season. 
 
The Hawks, who have tied their last two meetings with UMSL, lead the all-time series 6-4-2 since 2012.
 
Maryville, who is also undefeated in conference play (4-2-3, 2-0-3 GLVC) settled for a win and a tie last weekend with Truman State and Quincy. The Saints opened the season with a 2-1 win over No. 17 Ferris State.

The Hawks have won nine of the last seven meetings with Maryville, including a 2-1 overtime win last season.  
 
"We are playing two very good teams in UMSL and Maryville. We have been preparing all week for the matchups, so it's going to be exciting to see how we execute," said Rockhurst coach Greg Herdlick.
