The Rockhurst women's soccer team embarks on another road trip for the second time this season as they head to Joplin, Missouri on Friday to face Missouri Southern at 6 p.m. and then face Oklahoma Christian at 3 p.m. Monday in Edmond, Oklahoma.
The Hawks (0-1-1) are looking for their first win this weekend after opening their season with a 1-1 tie against Concordia-St. Paul last Thursday and a tough 1-0 loss against Upper on Saturday.
Going into these road games, RU coach Greg Herdlick says, "I would like to see better execution when we are in the final third and to always match the intensity of our opponents. Last week we gained some valuable experience from some of our players as they began their college career and we are looking to use that."
Missouri Southern (0-1) has only matched up against the Hawks twice. In 2018, the final score ended in a 1-1 tie, and in 2017, the Hawks took a 3-1 victory.
Oklahoma Christian (1-1) has not seen the Hawks since 1995 when the Hawks posted a 4-0 win.
