Rockhurst dropped a 1-0 decision at Upper Iowa Saturday in Fayette, Iowa. The Hawks were held scoreless on 17 shots and six shots on goal.

Freshman Lauren O'Connor led the Hawks with three shots and two shots on goal. Hannah Byrne added three shots, while Greta Seal added two shots. RU goalkeeper Alyssa Kerperien posted four saves; two in the first half and two in the second half.

Rachyl Benavides scored the only goal of the game for the Peacocks. Upper Iowa (1-1) posted seven shots and five shots on goal.

Rockhurst (0-1-1) will play at Missouri Southern on Friday, Sept. 2.
