Josie Lindemann hit two home runs and drove in eight runs to power Rockhurst to a doubleheader sweep over William Jewell Saturday at RU's Loyola Park.
Game One: RU 9, William Jewell 3
Lindemann hit a go-ahead single up the middle in the fifth and cleared the fence in right-center for a grand slam in the sixth.
- Emily Clark reached base four times and hit a game-tying double in the fifth.
- Anna Newcomer (9-10) held the Cardinals to three runs on five hits over 7.0 innings.
Game 2: RU 6, William Jewell 4
Lindemann ended the day with a three-run walk-off home run off the scoreboard in left field in the seventh.
- Freshman Jayla Pierce cut Jewell's lead to 4-3 with a pinch hit two-run homer to right field in the sixth.
- Freshman Anna Stephen (5-7) held Jewell scoreless on four hits over the final four innings.
