Women return to the road this week

The Hawks are in second place in the GLVC West.
Conference play resumes on the road for the Rockhurst women this week. The Hawks (8-4, 4-2 GLVC) play Maryville (6-6, 2-4 GLVC) in St. Louis at 5:30 p.m. Thursday and meet Missouri S&T (6-8, 3-5 GLVC) on Saturday in Rolla at 1 p.m.

Rockhurst led Drury for 32 minutes before falling to the top-ranked Panthers, 76-69, last Saturday. The Hawks, who play five of their next eight games on the road, are in second place in the GLVC West Division.

Daly Sullivan ranks second in scoring (17.4 pg) and is tied for first in 3-point field goals made (2.6 pg) in the GLVC. Keegan Sullivan is 13th in scoring (13,7 pg) and seventh in rebounding (7.3 pg) in the GLVC.

Maryville fell 68-58 at Illinois Springfield on Monday. The Saints are led by junior guard Antoinette Mussorici, who is averaging 15.0 points and 2.5 assists per game.

Rockhurst won its first matchup with Missouri S&T, 77-73, on Jan. 2 in Kansas City. The Sullivan sisters combined for 50 points against the Miners.

S&T is coming off a 73-59 victory at Quincy on Monday. Senior guard Laura Rodriguez leads the Miners in scoring (13.7 pg) and leads the GLVC in free throw percentage (86.0).
