Hawks back home to face UMSL, Lindenwood

Gabby Hennessy scored the wining goal at Maryville.
The Rockhurst women's soccer team is back home again this weekend after a successful trip to St. Louis last week. The Hawks open the weekend at 5 p.m. Friday against Missouri-St. Louis.

The Hawks (3-4-1, 2-1-1 GLVC) edged Maryville 2-1 on a goal in overtime by freshman Gabby Hennessy last Friday and tied Missouri S&T 0-0 in double overtime on Sunday.

UMSL (4-4, 2-3 GLVC) snapped a three-game losing streak with a 1-0 victory over Quincy last Sunday. The Tritons have scored eight goals this season.

Rockhurst has dropped three of the last four meetings with UMSL, including a 1-0 loss last spring in St. Louis. The Hawks own a 6-4-1 lead in the series since 2012.

The Hawks host Lindenwood at noon on Sunday. The Lions (3-3-1, 3-1-1 GLVC) are 3-0-1 in their last four games.

Rockhurst is looking for its first win over the Lions since 2011. Lindenwood posted a 1-0 win last year in St. Charles, Missouri.

Live stats and live video will be available for both games. Check the Rockhurst web site for the game links.
