Hawks open road trip at Maryville on Friday

Caroline Romme helped the Hawks shut out Southwest Baptist.
The Rockhurst women's soccer team hits the road for the fourth consecutive weekend, beginning Friday with a 3:30 p.m. game against Maryville in St. Louis.
 
The Hawks (2-4, 1-1 GLVC) are coming off a 1-0 victory at Southwest Baptist last Sunday. Freshman Olivia Schwarzen scored on a 33-yard shot in the fifth minute.

Maryville has opened conference play with three losses. The Saints (1-4, 0-3 GLVC) is coming off a 4-3 loss in double overtime at Quincy last Sunday.

Rockhurst has won the last two meetings with Maryville, including a 4-0 win over the Saints last spring in Kansas City. The Hawks own a 7-3-1 lead in the series since 2011.

The Hawks travel to Missouri S&T for a noon game on Sunday. The Miners (2-2-1, 1-1-1 GLVC) are coming off a 0-0 tie at Truman State last Sunday.

Rockhurst has won the last seven meetings and owns a 17-6-2 lead in the all-time series. The Hawks posted a 3-0 win over the Miners last spring in Kansas City.
