Hawks open conference play at home

The Hawks face Drury in their home opener on Friday.

Conference play begins Friday night for the Rockhurst women's soccer team as the Hawks will host Drury in their home opener at 5 p.m.

The Hawks (1-3) are coming off a pair of losses in Minnesota last weekend. Drury comes to Kansas City with a 3-1 record after posting a 1-0 win at Truman State last Sunday.

Rockhurst has won the last three meetings with Drury, including blanking the Panthers 3-0 last spring in Springfield.

The Hawks close out the weekend with a road game at Southwest Baptist. The Bearcats (1-1-1) are coming off a 1-0 win at William Jewell on Sunday.

Last season, Rockhurst and Southwest Baptist played to a 1-1 tie at Bourke Field. The Hawks posted a 4-2 win at SBU in 2019.
