Olivia Van Belle scored with 2:02 left in regulation to give the Rockhurst women a 2-1 win over Minnesota-Duluth Friday night in Duluth.
The goal was set up on a corner kick by freshman
Gabby Hennessy, which came off the far post and went to Van Belle for an easy shot from in front of the goal.
Elle Guttmann gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 47th minute. Duluth tied the score 13 seconds later on a goal by Jacqueline Jares.
Rockhurst finished with 15 shots. Hennessy and
Jacqueline Nieters led the Hawks with three shots apiece.
Hannah Byrne added two shots.
Megan Meyers had two saves in goal.
The Hawks (1-2) play at Concordia-St. Paul on Sunday.
