Women hope to return to the win column

The Hawks face Southern Indiana Friday night.

The Rockhurst women's soccer team ventures to Indiana and Illinois this weekend for a pair of important conference games. The Hawks face Southern Indiana on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and will meet McKendree on Sunday at noon.

The Hawks (3-5-2, 2-2-2 GLVC) hope to return to win column after going 0-1-2 in their last three games while being held to one goal.

Southern Indiana (3-4-2, 1-4-1 GLVC) ended a six-game non-winning streak with a 3-2 victory at Quincy last Sunday. The Eagles have scored nine goals this season.

Rockhurst has split its last four meetings with USI, most recently falling by a 3-1 score in the first round of the GLVC Tournament in Evansville last spring. The Hawks own a 14-4-2 lead in the all-time series.

The Hawks return to McKendree for the first time since 2018. The Bearcats (7-1-2, 5-1-1 GLVC) have won their last four games.

McKendree posted a 4-0 win over the Hawks last year in Kansas City. Rockhurst has a 6-5 lead in the all-time series.
