The Rockhurst women's soccer team (2-0) will host William Jewell (0-2-1) in their home opener Sunday (12:00 p.m.) at Bourke Field.

This is the Hawks' first GLVC match of the season. Rockhurst will look to build off its strong showing at the Stoney Creek Hotel Classic in St. Joseph, Missouri, defeating Emporia State (4-3) and Missouri Western (2-0).

Five Hawks scored in Rockhurst's two wins in St. Joseph -- McKenna Leetch (two goals) and one goal apiece from Brittany Valieant, Mary Koeller, Sydney Baker and Stephanie Ostrander.

Valieant and Jillian Leetch are leading the way in assists with two each. Rosie Breheny and Megan Meyers have each started one match in goal, both earning wins.

Sunday is the first of three straight GLVC home games for the defending conference tournament champions.
