Hawks fall out of first place in the GLVC standings

Indianapolis scored three goals in the first half and turned back nine Rockhurst shots to secure a 3-0 victory over the Hawks Friday night in Indianapolis.

The Hawks, now 12-4 overall, dropped from first to third place in the GLVC standings with a 10-4 league mark. The Greyhounds, 12-3-1 and 10-3-1 in the GLVC, moved into second place in the GLVC behind conference leader McKendree.

Indianapolis grabbed a 1-0 lead less than three minutes into the game. The Greyhounds added their second goal in the 19th minute and their third goal in the 28th minute.

The Hawks outshot Indy 14-13. Greta Seal led the Hawks with four shots on goal. McKenna Leetch and Caroline Romme added two shots apiece. RU's Megan Meyers collected eight saves.

Rockhurst wraps up the regular season at Bellarmine on Sunday (11:00 a.m. CST).
