Mississippi College blanks Hawks, 2-0

Mississippi College held Rockhurst to seven shots in posting a 2-0 victory over the Hawks Friday night at Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee.

After a 90-minute weather delay early in the game, the Choctaws scored in the 28th minute to take a 1-0 halftime lead. Mississippi College scored its second goal less than 12 minutes into the second half.

The Hawks collected three shots on goal in the final four minutes in the game. The Choctaws posted 12 shots and five shots on goal.

Jillian Leetch led the Hawks three shots and two shots on goal. Elle Guttmann added two shots. Junior goalkeeper Rosie Breheny made two saves in her first start of the season.

The Hawks (1-2-1) play Christian Brothers College on Sunday in Memphis, Tennessee.
