Rockhurst suffers 3-1 loss at Maryville

Box Score Rockhurst dominated the shooting statistics at Maryville, but could not stop any of the Saints' three shots on goal in falling to the Saints 3-1 on Friday in St. Louis.

Sophomore defender Colleen Pikus scored her first collegiate goal on a 15-yard shot to tie the score at 1-1 in the 13th minute. The Saints made it 2-1 six minutes later and added another goal in the 72nd minute.

Rockhurst finished with 14 shots on goal and eight shots on goal. Lauren Merlo led the Hawks with five shots and two shots on goal. Kaley Nieters and Jillian Leetch added two shots apiece.

The Hawks (6-5, 4-4 GLVC) play at Missouri-St. Louis Sunday afternoon.
