Hawks end season with 1-0 loss at Illinois Springfield

Box Score The Rockhurst Hawks pounded out 23 shots, including nine on goal, but could not put one in the net in ending their season with a 1-0 loss at Illinois Springfield Wednesday night.

Rockhurst posted 14 shots and six shots on goal in the second half. Springfield scored on one of its three shots in the second half, scoring off a throw-in in the 60th minute.

Kaley Nieters, Jillian Leetch and Maddie Dierkes each tallied five shots to lead the Hawks. Maggie Forbes collected three saves.

The Hawks, 7-9-1 overall, finish the season tied for ninth in the GLVC with a 5-8-1 record.
