Rockhurst stays alive for spot in GLVC Tournament

Box Score Rockhurst kept its hopes alive for postseason play with a 0-0 tie at Indianapolis on Sunday.

The Hawks, currently ninth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, can clinch eighth place and a berth in the GLVC Tournament with a win at Illinois Springfield in their regular season final on Wednesday.

Rockhurst outshot Indianapolis, 16-14. The Hawks posted six shots in the two 10-minute overtime periods.

Kaley Nieters led the Hawks with nine shots and four shots on goal. Jillian Leetch added three shots. Maggie Forbes made four saves.

The Hawks are now 7-8-1 overall and 5-7-1 in the GLVC.
