Hawks keep rolling with 1-0 win over Quincy

Box Score Brandi Vollmer scored the winning goal and Ali Wallner made five saves to lead 21st-ranked Rockhurst to a 1-0 victory over Quincy Friday night at Bourke Field.

The Hawks, 9-0-1 overall, remain in second place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 6-0-1 league mark. Rockhurst will face conference leader and 10th-ranked Truman State on Sunday.

Vollmer drilled a shot from 18 yards out that hit the crossbar and found the back of the right corner in the 62nd minute. It was Vollmer's second game-winning goal and third goal of the season.

Rockhurst finished with 12 shots and three shots on goal. Meghan Kilkenny led the Hawks with three shots and one assist. Kaley Nieters and Maddie Dierkes added two shots apiece.
