Rockhurst blanks UMSL to remain unbeaten

Kaley Nieters scored the game-winning goal early in the second half.
Box Score Rockhurst held Missouri-St. Louis to 11 shots as the unbeaten Hawks shut out the Tritons 1-0 Friday in St. Louis.

Kaley Nieters scored the game-winning goal in the 49th minute for the 23rd-ranked Hawks. Nieters took a pass from Erika Celoni and knocked in a shot from six yards out.

The Hawks posted 14 shots and seven shots on goal. Meghan Kilkenny led Rockhurst with six shots and two shots on goal. Courtney Silberberg and Jessica Smelcer both finished with two shots. Freshman goalkeeper Rosie Breheny made five saves to improve her record to 4-0.

Rockhurst, 7-0-1 and 4-0-1 in the GLVC, plays at Maryville on Sunday, September 25.
