Rockhurst rallies for 1-1 tie at 20th-ranked Bellarmine

Box Score Jordan Wipke found the nets in the second half to help rally Rockhurst to a 1-1 tie at 20th-ranked Bellarmine Friday in Louisville, Kentucky.

The tie leaves the Hawks and Bellarmine tied for second place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with 6-1-2 league marks.

Wipke knocked in the game-tying shot from 35 yards out in the 68th minute. Wipke's first career goal was set up when the Knights tried to clear the ball out of the box after a Rockhurst corner kick.

Bellarmine took a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 43rd minute. The Knights outshot Rockhurst 11-7. Courtney Silberberg and Brandi Vollmer each posted two shots to lead the Hawks. RU's Ali Wallner made five saves in goal.

Rockhurst, 9-1-2 overall, play at Southern Indiana on Sunday, October 9.
