Hawks move into tie for first place in the GLVC

Kaley Nieters scored her seventh goal of the season.
Box Score The Rockhurst women moved one step closer to claiming a share of the conference regular season title with a 2-0 victory over Drury Friday night at Bourke Field.

The 16th-ranked Hawks are now tied for first place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 10-1-2 league record with two games left in the regular season.

Abby Zeltmann gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead in the 34th minute when she scored on a shot from 25 yards out with an assist from Mackenzie Moore.

Kaley Nieters scored her team-high seventh goal of the season in the 51st minute. Her goal from seven yards out was assisted by Meghan Kilkenny and Courtney Silberberg.

Rockhurst finished with 30 shots and 13 shots on goal. Nieters led the Hawks with six shots and four shots on goal. Mia Zanaboni and Kilkenny combined for nine shots and four shots on goal.

The Hawks, 13-1-2 overall, plays at Missouri S&T on Sunday, October 23.
