Hawks suffer 1-0 loss to 10th-ranked Truman State

Courtney Silberberg posted five shots and two shots on goal.
Box Score Rockhurst dominated 10th-ranked Truman State in shots and possession time, but the 21st-ranked Hawks suffered a 1-0 loss to the Bulldogs Sunday at Bourke Field.

Truman remains in first place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with an 8-0 record, while Rockhurst falls into a tie for second at 6-1-1. The Bulldogs scored on their only shot on goal, a 10-yard shot in the 58th minute.

The Hawks outshot Truman 22-3 and won in corner kicks, 7-1. Truman's keeper stopped nine Rockhurst shots.

Kaley Nieters led the Hawks with six shots. Courtney Silberberg posted five shots and two shots on goals. Brandi Vollmer tallied three shots on goals.

Rockhurst (9-1-1 overall) play at Bellarmine on Friday, October 7.
