Late goal gives Hawks 1-1 tie with Kearney

Courtney Silberberg scored the tying goal in the 85th minute.

Box Score Courtney Silberberg's goal in the 85th minute gave Rockhurst a 1-1 tie against Nebraska-Kearney Sunday at RU's Bourke Field.

Silberberg scored on an 18-yard shot from the top of the box with assists from Meghan Kilkenny and Julia Bartolacci. Kearney took a 1-0 lead in the 52nd minute on a 25-yard shot from Marika Van Brocklin.

Rockhurst outshot Kearney 14-3. The Hawks collected four shots in the second overtime period. Six different players posted two shots. Caitlin Winschel stopped one of Kearney's shots.

The Hawks, 0-0-2, host Washburn at 7 p.m. on Wednesday
