RU's Skala scores twice in 4-0 victory over Lewis

Taylor Skala scored two of Rockhurst's four goals against Lewis.
Box Score Taylor Skala scored two goals to lead Rockhurst to a 4-0 victory over Lewis Sunday at RU's Bourke Field. Skala has now scored 38 career goals, three shy of the school record.

Skala's first goal came in the 10th minute on a shot from the top of the box off a pass from Mia Zanaboni. Her second goal came off a corner from Nicole Keeve and put the Hawks in front 3-0 in the 76th minute.

Brandi Van Booven notched her second goal of the season in the 32nd minute off a pass from Molly Beelman to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead. Emily Rodriguez capped the scoring with her first goal of the season in the 86th minute with assists from Courtney Silberberg and Kasey Lierz.

The Hawks outshot the Flyers 18-4. Skala, Van Booven and Zanaboni each posted three shots for the Hawks. Junior goalkeeper Caitlin Winschel collected three saves.

Rockhurst (6-1, 3-1 GLVC) travels to Maryville and Missouri-St. Louis next weekend.
