Skala leads Hawks to 3-0 win at Illinois Springfield

Taylor Skala scored her 40th career goal at Illinois Springfield.

Box Score Taylor Skala helped account for two goals to carry Rockhurst to a 3-0 victory at llinois Springfield Friday night.

Skala scored her eighth goal of the season and 40th career goal to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead in the 33rd minute. She also assisted on Meghan Kilkenny's goal in the ninth minute. Brandi Van Booven closed out the scoring with her fourth goal of the season in the 42nd minute.

Junior goalkeeper Caitlin Winschel stopped two shots in posting her eighth shutout of the season. Skala led the Hawks with seven shots and four shots on goal. Julia Bartolacci, Mia Zanaboni and Nicole Keeve added assists.

The Hawks (9-1-2, 6-1-2 GLVC) play at Southern Indiana on Sunday.
