Rockhurst hosts Quincy in key GLVC matchup

Mia Zanaboni scored her first collegiate goal at Maryville last Sunday.
The Rockhurst Hawks will host the Quincy Hawks Friday night in a battle between two of the top women's soccer teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Rockhurst (8-1, 5-1 GLVC) is currently tied for second place with Quincy, Bellarmine and Truman State in the GLVC standings. Senior forward Taylor Skala is tied for the league lead with seven goals and leads the GLVC with five game-winning goals. Junior goalkeeper Caitlin Winschel ranks second in the GLVC in goals against average (0.43).
Quincy is coming off back-to-back shutout wins over Missouri S&T and Drury. Quincy has posted six shutouts while outscoring its foes 12-7.

Friday's game will be the 21st meeting all-time between Rockhurst and Quincy dating back to the 1999 season. Quincy has won 11 of the last 13 meetings and holds a 12-5-3 advantage in the series.
