Katie Kujawa scored in the 75th minute to give the Rockhurst women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over Southern Indiana on Friday at RU's Loyola Park. Kujawa scored on a header in front of the right post off a perfectly placed corner kick from
Kasey Lierz.
Rockhurst outshot the Screaming Eagles 13-9.
Taylor Skala paced Rockhurst with three shots. Two of Skala's shots were stopped by Southern Indiana. Kujawa,
Jessica Cook,
Morgan Dahm and
Kinsley Fitzpatrick each collected two shots. Freshman keeper
Ali Wallner posted three saves.
The Hawks, 4-0-2 and 3-0-2 in the GLVC, host Illinois Springfield at noon on Sunday, Sept. 29.
