Hawks battle to a 1-1 deadlock at Drury

Taylor Skala led the Hawks with six shots at Drury
Box Score The Rockhurst women's soccer team dominated the statistics, but finished with their second tie in three days. The Hawks settled for a 1-1 tie in double overtime at Drury Sunday in Springfield, Mo.

Rockhurst outshot the Panthers 25-12. The Hawks also won in corner kicks, 14-3. Drury's keeper stopped nine shots by the Hawks.

Julia Bartolacci gave the Hawks a 1-0 lead with a goal only seven minutes into the game. She hit a shot from six yards out off a pass from Kasey Lierz. Drury tied the score with a goal in the 79th minute.

Taylor Skala led Rockhurst with six shots. Katie Kujawa collected five shots. Jessica Cook and Kristin Wolff both posted three shots. Freshman keeper Ali Wallner made three saves.

The Hawks, 1-0-2 and 0-0-2, return to action on Friday at Bellarmine in a 2:55 p.m. CST start in Louisville, Ky.
