Box Score Missouri S&T held Rockhurst to 32.1 percent shooting in posting a wire-to-wire 61-47 victory over the Hawks Monday night in Rolla, Mo. The loss drops Rockhurst to 7-18 overall and 4-13 in the GLVC with one game left in the season.
The Lady Miners jumped out to a 32-17 halftime lead as Rockhurst was limited to 25-percent shooting in the first half. S&T started out with a 13-4 lead.
Kendall Hart came off the bench to help pull the Hawks to within 15-11. A 12-2 run by the Lady Miners gave S&T a 27-13 lead with 5:14 left in the first half.
The Hawks shot 38 percent in the second half to finish with 17-of-53 shooting from the floor and seven of 11 at the foul line. Hart led the Hawks with nine points.
Laura Wilson collected seven points, four rebounds and two steals.
Allison Streich posted six points and three rebounds.
Kara McFarland added five points, four rebounds and two steals.
Rockhurst concludes the regular season at home against William Jewell at 5:30 p.m., on Thursday. It's also Senior Night for the Hawks, who will honor seniors MaKayla Grahm, McFarland and
Shelby Geiman after the game.
