Box Score Rockhurst's hopes of reaching the championship game in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Soccer Tournament fell short Friday night in Quincy, Ill. Quincy scored in the 78th minute to edge the Hawks, 1-0, in the semifinals of the GLVC Tournament.

The Hawks, 12-5-3, will now await the announcement of the NCAA Division II Tournament pairings on Monday, Nov. 11. Rockhurst was seeded fifth in this week's Midwest Regional rankings. The top six in the region advance to the NCAA Midwest Regional on Nov. 15.

Quincy's Ashley Burton found the nets with a header in the 78th minute. Burton added two more shots on the goal in the final 10 minutes.

Rockhurst outshot Quincy, 9-8. Taylor Skala, Julia Bartolacci and Kinsley Fitzpatrick each posted two shots to lead the Hawks. Freshman keeper Ali Wallner posted three saves.
