Box Score Rockhurst suffered its first loss of the season Tuesday night, falling to Southwest Baptist 78-54 in Bolivar, Mo. The Bearcats shot 53.6 percent from the field while holding the Hawks to 35.2 percent shooting.
Southwest Baptist jumped out to a 43-21 halftime lead after hitting 16-of-25 field goals (61.5 percent). Rockhurst was limited to seven-of-27 shooting in the first half.
Freshman
Mary Dineen paced the Hawks with 13 points on five-of-11 field goal shooting and five rebounds.
Lauren Meyers joined Dineen in double figures with 12 points.
Kendall Hart and
Becky Squiers also grabbed five rebounds.
The Hawks, 3-1, return home to host Missouri Western at 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
