Hawks fall in overtime at 10th-ranked Quincy

Kinsley Fitzpatrick scored her first goal of the season in the second half.
Box Score Rockhurst rallied in the second half before falling in overtime at 10th-ranked Quincy 2-1 on Sunday. Quincy scored the winning goal in the 99th minute on a shot just under the crossbar.

RU sophomore Kinsley Fitzpatrick scored on a header off a corner kick in the 77th minute to tie the score at 1-1. Caroline Brandt and Jamison Wipke assisted on Fitzpatricks's goal. Quincy took a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute.


Quincy outshot Rockhurst 11-8. Fitzpatrick led the Hawks with three shots. Taylor Skala added two shots. Freshman keeper Ali Wallner finished with five saves.

Rockhurst, 6-2-2 and 4-2-2 in the GLVC, returns home to face Maryville on Friday, Oct. 11 at 5 p.m.
