Hawks shut down William Jewell, 2-0

Katie Kujawa scored the game-winning goal in the 11th minute.
Box Score Rockhurst secured the fourth seed in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament with a 2-0 victory over William Jewell Wednesday night at RU's Bourke Field. The game was called with 11:07 left in the match after nearly an hour delay due to lightning.

The Hawks finished in a three-way tie for third place in the GLVC with a 9-3-3 league record. Rockhurst, 11-4-3 overall, will host fifth-seeded Bellarmine at noon on Sunday.

Katie Kujawa scored on a header off a corner kick in the 11th minute to give the Hawks a 1-0 lead. Maria Merlo assisted on Kujawa's fourth goal of the season. Morgan Dahm also netted her fourth goal of the season in the 67th minute to give Rockhurst a 2-0 lead. Dahm's shot from six yards out came off a cross from Julia Bartolacci.

Kujawa led the Hawks with five shots. Dahm posted three shots and Jessica Cook added two shots. Freshman keeper Ali Wallner collected three saves.
