Overtime goal lifts Hawks past Indianapolis, 2-1

Taylor Skala scored an overtime to give the Hawks a 2-1 win over Indianapolis.
Box Score Taylor Skala's goal in overtime lifted Rockhurst past Indianapolis, 2-1, on Friday at RU's Bourke Field. The victory leaves Rockhurst in a tie for fourth place in the GLVC with a 7-3-3 record.

Skala scored her fourth goal of the season on a back heel shot from six yards out with 6:03 left in the first overtime. Kinsley Fitzpatrick and Kasey Lierz assisted on the game-winning goal.

Katie Kujawa tied the score at 1-1 in the 54th minute with a header from 10 yards out off a corner kick from Lierz. Skala, Kujawa and Jessic Cook each posted two shots to lead Rockhurst.

The Hawks, 8-4-3 overall, will host Saint Joseph's on Senior Day at noon Sunday, Oct. 27.
