Second half goal gives Hawks 1-0 win over UMSL

Taylor Skala scored the game-winning goal against Missouri-St. Louis.
Box Score Junior forward Taylor Skala scored early in the second half to give the Rockhurst women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over Missouri-St. Louis on Sunday at RU's Bourke Field.

Skala scored her second goal of the season on a shot from eight yards out in the center of the box in the 50th minute. Freshman Kristin Wolff assisted on the game-winning goal.

Rockhurst outshot the Tritons 15-4. Skala and Wolff led Rockhurst with four shots apiece. Julia Bartolacci and Brandi Van Booven each posted two shots. Freshman keeper Ali Wallner made two saves.

The Hawks, 8-2-2 and 6-2-2 in the GLVC, play at nationally-ranked Central Missouri on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m.
