Box Score Senior forward Kara McFarland scored 15 points to lead Rockhurst to a 50-34 victory over Missouri S&T Thursday night at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House. McFarland scored nine of Rockhurst's 18 points in the second half behind three-of-four field goals.

The Hawks went on a 20-4 run in the first half on the way to taking a 32-18 halftime lead. Rockhurst controlled most of the second half, grabbing a 42-28 lead on a jumper by McFarland at the 10:12 mark. A three-pointer by Melanie Siscos gave the Hawks a 47-34 lead with 3:37 left to play

MaKayla Grahn collected seven points and four assists. Siscos scored seven points. Taylor Skala added four steals, six rebounds and three assists. Allison Streich and Lauren Meyers both posted seven rebounds.

Rockhurst shot 36.0 percent from the field (18 of 50 field goals), while holding S&T to 33.3 percent shooting (13 of 39). The Hawks , 6-12, and 3-7 in the GLVC, travel to Drury on Saturday for a GLVC West Division battle at 3 p.m.
