Fifth-seeded Rockhurst suffered a 1-0 loss to top-seeded Quincy in the semifinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament Friday night in Quincy, Ill. Quincy scored the only goal of the game in the 33rd minute.

Rockhurst, 13-3-3, will await the announcement of the NCAA Division II Championships on Monday night. The Hawks were ranked fourth in the latest Midwest Regional poll. The top six teams in the region earn berths in NCAA postseason competition.

The Hawks outshot Quincy, 8-7. Alfonsin led Rockhurst with four shots. RU's Lucy Sullivan made three saves in goal. Quincy will host William Jewell in Sunday's GLVC Championship game.
