Yassir won both of his singles matches and split his two doubles matches last week. The Hawks' No. 2 singles player rallied to defeat William Jewell's Bryan Thomas 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 on March 27. He came back two days later to upset Drury's Roman Gonda (who is ranked third in the Midwest Region). Yassir and Truit Gray teamed up for a 9-8 (7-4) victory over Wiliam Jewell in No. 2 doubles and then fell by an 8-4 score to Drury's No. 2 doubles team. Yassir, who has a 13-4 record in singles this year, was named the GLVC Player of the Week earlier this spring.
