Mitch was named the PNC Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week in baseball. He hit .643 (9-for-14) with two home runs, four runs scored and six RBIs at the Clearwater Invitational last week in Florida. He opened with a 4-for-5 effort against Mansfield with three RBIs and two runs scored, one of which was a home run. In a 6-1 decision over Upper Iowa, he was 2-for-4 with an RBI. In an 11-10 win over Cedarville, he was 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored. The Marion, Iowa native hit above .500 with multiple hits and had at least an RBI in each game, while reaching base at a .688 clip and earning a slugging percentage of 1.071.
