Caitlin Winschel was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week in women's soccer. Winschel came up big against third-ranked Quincy on Sunday, earning a 1-0 shutout road win that handed the QU Hawks their first loss of the season. The senior keeper made four saves in posting her second shutout of the season, including a stop on a header in the 78th minute to preserve the victory. The St. Louis, Mo., product earns her first career weekly honor and is Rockhurst's first defensive selection in women's soccer since September 30, 2013.
