Hawks finish third in GLVC Preseason Volleyball Poll

Trent Jones enters his fourth season with a 52-27 record as the Rockhurst head coach.

Rockhurst finished third with 138 total points in the 2023 Great Lakes Valley Conference Preseason Women's Volleyball Poll, the league office announced on August 22.

Missouri-St. Louis and Lewis were picked first and second in the preseason poll that is selected by the league's head coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team.

The Hawks made their eighth straight NCAA Tournament appearance after advancing to the GLVC title game last year as the No. 3 seed, finishing the season with a 20-8 record and 9-3 GLVC mark.

Seniors Maureen Reilly, Tera Reberry and Sarah Montague highlight the returners for the Hawks. Reilly led the GLVC and ranked fifth in the nation in digs per set (5.70) en route to winning GLVC Libero of the Year honors in 2022. Reberry finished 12th in totals kills (318) and 16th in total blocks (77) in the GLVC. Montague ranked fourth in total assists (943) in the GLVC.

The Hawks open the season on Thursday, August 31 at home against Sioux Falls (S.D.).
