Miller-Sell led Rockhurst to 24 wins and a second-round finish in the NAIA national tournament in 1997-98. She earned NAIA All-American honors while averaging 21.2 points per game and broke an NAIA record with 146 three-point field goals made in 1997-98. Miller-Sell scored 42 points while making an NAIA-record 13 three-point field goals against William Woods in 1998.
