Tucker was a center back defender who played an instrumental role in helping Rockhurst advance to its first NAIA national tournament in 1967 while earning All-Tournament honors. He was selected to the MO-KAN All-Conference Team in 1966 and ’67. Tucker was named to the NAIA All-Area Team in 1965. He played on the Kansas City Spurs’ NASL championship team in 1969.
