Rockhurst University Athletics

Spurck played an ironman role for his defensive work. He was the team captain in 1938 and was named to the All-Star team that played a championship professional team in St. Louis. He was an All-Missouri guard in 1937 and All-State guard in 1938. He only missed two games in seven years between Rockhurst High School and Rockhurst College.
