Dick Hennier was the leading scorer on Rockhurst's NAIA national championship team in 1964. He was named to the 1964 NAIA All-Tournament First Team. His 35-foot buzzer-beating shot led the Hawks past Indiana Central in the quarterfinals of the NAIA Tournament. Hennier scored 1,118 points in two seasons at Rockhurst and played on the 1964 NAIA Olympic Trials team.
