The women's basketball program benefitted greatly when Dr. Cindy Grant joined the program in 1994. The Hawks posted a 50-10 record and played in two NAIA national tournaments during Dr. Grant's two years. The NAIA All-American forward averaged 19.6 points per game while leading the country in free-throw shooting in her senior year. She finished her career as one of the leading scorers in school history with 998 points.
