Box Score Mary Dineen and Marisa Lowe combined for 47 points to carry Rockhurst to an 82-65 victory over Wisconsin-Parkside in the first round of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament Sunday at Mason-Halpin Field House.
The Hawks (18-9) will now face 20th-ranked Bellarmine (21-6) in the GLVC Tournament quarterfinals at 2:30 p.m. Friday (March 3) at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind.
Dineen led the Hawks with 26 points, four rebounds, five assists and four blocked shots. The senior guard made five-of-16 field goals and 14-of-15 free throws. Lowe posted 21 points and eight rebounds. She made eight-of-15 field goals, including draining five 3-pointers.
Morgan Harwood scored a career-high 15 points and collected six rebounds. Jillian Myers finished with five points, five assists, four steals and three blocked shots. Kaci German, Lauren Krissman and Rachel Holden combined for 17 rebounds.
The Hawks jumped out to a 25-7 lead after the first period and outscored the Rangers 48-39 in the second half.
Rockhurst shot 39.1 percent from the field (27 of 69) and 82.6 percent at the free-throw line (19 of 23). Parkside shot 34.8 percent from the field (24 of 69) and 75.0 percent (15 of 20) from the foul line.
