Box Score Seventh-seeded Rockhurst suffered a 2-1 loss to second-seeded Truman State in the quarterfinals of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament Sunday in Kirksville, Mo.

Truman State took a commanding 2-0 lead in the second half with goals in the 64th minute and 72nd minute. Rockhurst cut the Bulldogs' lead in half with a goal in the 84th minute by Maria Merlo, who scored off a pass from Meghan Kilkenny.

The Bulldogs outshot Rockhurst, 16-14. Nicole Keeve led the Hawks with four shots. Brandi Van Booven added three shots. Caitlin Winschel posted five saves.

The Hawks end their season with a 7-6-6 record. Truman State (13-2-4) will play Quincy in the semifinals of the GLVC Tournament on Friday in Louisville, Ky.
